BSc Hons, physiotherapist
After experiencing several sports injuries from different sports at a young age, I’ve been to many physiotherapists across my home country of Malaysia. The attentiveness of the physiotherapists and their person-centred care approach yielded amazing results, which motivated myself to study physiotherapy at the University of Birmingham.
In the dynamic field of physiotherapy, I am a firm believer of evidence-based practice and I love to keep myself updated on the latest, most effective treatments for all sorts of injuries to ensure that I provide the right care for everyone. I have a strong interest in pain management, movement analysis, injury prevention and rehabilitation. My main area of expertise is sports injuries to both professional and recreational athletes. I also enjoy working with patients who have spine problems such as back pain, spondylosis and spinal stenosis. It has been an absolute joy to work with people from all walks of life- children to the elderly – helping them regain their mobility and independence through good physical rehabilitation after injury.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and hold a ITEC Level 3 Sports Massage qualification. I also hold a certification of the highly-respected BodyMaster Course of the Shoulder Complex by the Sports Therapy Organisation. Furthermore, I decided to build upon my foundation of manual therapy by attending the Level 1 Spinal Manipulation course, where I gained my certification.
If you are tired of daily pains and niggles, or a sportsperson looking to enhance your athletic performance, please do not hesitate to get in touch and I will find a solution specifically tailored to you.
