About James

My personal journey as a physiotherapist began after experiencing several sporting injuries, mainly caused by being kicked around in the local football leagues and training for numerous running events. With some inspiration from a few top class physiotherapists and a burning desire to fully understand my aches and pains, I sent myself off to the University of Brighton where I graduated with an honours degree in physiotherapy.

Over the last seven years, I’ve gained experience working in several different clinical settings currently splitting my time between private practice and working in sport. For the last four seasons, I have been a member of the physiotherapy team at Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club and I can also be found covering various sporting fixtures across Sussex. Throughout my career I’ve worked in both the NHS and the private sector, working alongside some of the best physiotherapists in the country. As a keen AMATEUR athlete, I’ve also experienced first hand the benefits of physiotherapy and try to carry these basic principles of injury prevention and management into my own life. I enjoy training for and competing in regular events around the country and I’m always keen to share and learn from fellow enthusiasts.

I’m a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I’m also a member of the Acupuncture Association of Physiotherapists (AACP) and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine (ACPSEM).
